The LORDH3068 hath returnedH7725 upon thee all the bloodH1818 of the houseH1004 of Saul,H7586 in whose stead thou hast reigned;H4427 and the LORDH3068 hath deliveredH5414 the kingdomH4410 into the handH3027 of AbsalomH53 thy son:H1121 and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief,H7451 because thou art a bloodyH1818 man.H376

And the kingH4428 said,H559 What have I to do with you, ye sonsH1121 of Zeruiah?H6870 so let him curse,H7043 because the LORDH3068 hath saidH559 unto him, CurseH7043 David.H1732 Who shall then say,H559 Wherefore hast thou done so?H6213

And DavidH1732 saidH559 to Abishai,H52 and to all his servants,H5650 Behold, my son,H1121 which came forthH3318 of my bowels,H4578 seekethH1245 my life:H5315 how much more now may this BenjamiteH1145 do it? let him alone,H3240 and let him curse;H7043 for the LORDH3068 hath biddenH559 him.

It may be that the LORDH3068 will lookH7200 on mine afflictionH5869, H6040, and that the LORDH3068 will requiteH7725 me goodH2896 for his cursingH7045 this day.H3117

And Absalom,H53 and all the peopleH5971 the menH376 of Israel,H3478 cameH935 to Jerusalem,H3389 and AhithophelH302 with him.

And HushaiH2365 saidH559 unto Absalom,H53 Nay; but whom the LORD,H3068 and this people,H5971 and all the menH376 of Israel,H3478 choose,H977 his will I be, and with him will I abide.H3427

And AhithophelH302 saidH559 unto Absalom,H53 Go inH935 unto thy father'sH1 concubines,H6370 which he hath leftH3240 to keepH8104 the house;H1004 and all IsraelH3478 shall hearH8085 that thou art abhorredH887 of thy father:H1 then shall the handsH3027 of all that are with thee be strong.H2388

So they spreadH5186 AbsalomH53 a tentH168 upon the top of the house;H1406 and AbsalomH53 went inH935 unto his father'sH1 concubinesH6370 in the sightH5869 of all Israel.H3478

And the counselH6098 of Ahithophel,H302 which he counselledH3289 in those days,H3117 was as if a manH376 had enquiredH7592 at the oracleH1697 of God:H430 so was all the counselH6098 of AhithophelH302 both with DavidH1732 and with Absalom.H53
