„O głupi Galatowie! Któż was omamił, abyście prawdzie nie byli posłuszni, którym przed oczyma Jezus Chrystus przedtem był wymalowany, i między wami ukrzyżowany?”

1 Samuel
26:1
And the ZiphitesH2130 cameH935 unto SaulH7586 to Gibeah,H1390 saying,H559 Doth not DavidH1732 hideH5641 himself in the hillH1389 of Hachilah,H2444 which is beforeH6440 Jeshimon?H3452
26:2
Then SaulH7586 arose,H6965 and went downH3381 to the wildernessH4057 of Ziph,H2128 having threeH7969 thousandH505 chosenH977 menH376 of IsraelH3478 with him, to seekH1245 DavidH1732 in the wildernessH4057 of Ziph.H2128
26:3
And SaulH7586 pitchedH2583 in the hillH1389 of Hachilah,H2444 which is beforeH6440 Jeshimon,H3452 by the way.H1870 But DavidH1732 abodeH3427 in the wilderness,H4057 and he sawH7200 that SaulH7586 cameH935 afterH310 him into the wilderness.H4057
26:4
DavidH1732 therefore sent outH7971 spies,H7270 and understoodH3045 that SaulH7586 was comeH935 in very deed.H3559
26:5
And DavidH1732 arose,H6965 and cameH935 to the placeH4725 where SaulH7586 had pitched:H2583 and DavidH1732 beheldH7200 the placeH4725 where SaulH7586 lay,H7901 and AbnerH74 the sonH1121 of Ner,H5369 the captainH8269 of his host:H6635 and SaulH7586 layH7901 in the trench,H4570 and the peopleH5971 pitchedH2583 round aboutH5439 him.
26:6
Then answeredH6030 DavidH1732 and saidH559 to AhimelechH288 the Hittite,H2850 and to AbishaiH52 the sonH1121 of Zeruiah,H6870 brotherH251 to Joab,H3097 saying,H559 Who will go downH3381 with me to SaulH7586 to the camp?H4264 And AbishaiH52 said,H559 I will go downH3381 with thee.
26:7
So DavidH1732 and AbishaiH52 cameH935 to the peopleH5971 by night:H3915 and, behold, SaulH7586 layH7901 sleepingH3463 within the trench,H4570 and his spearH2595 stuckH4600 in the groundH776 at his bolster:H4763 but AbnerH74 and the peopleH5971 layH7901 round aboutH5439 him.
26:8
Then saidH559 AbishaiH52 to David,H1732 GodH430 hath deliveredH5462 thine enemyH341 into thine handH3027 this day:H3117 now therefore let me smiteH5221 him, I pray thee, with the spearH2595 even to the earthH776 at onceH259, H6471, and I will not smite him the second time.H8138
26:9
And DavidH1732 saidH559 to Abishai,H52 DestroyH7843 him not: for who can stretch forthH7971 his handH3027 against the LORD'SH3068 anointed,H4899 and be guiltless?H5352
26:10
DavidH1732 saidH559 furthermore, As the LORDH3068 liveth,H2416 the LORDH3068 shall smiteH5062 him; or his dayH3117 shall comeH935 to die;H4191 or he shall descendH3381 into battle,H4421 and perish.H5595
26:11
The LORDH3068 forbidH2486 that I should stretch forthH7971 mine handH3027 against the LORD'SH3068 anointed:H4899 but, I pray thee, takeH3947 thou now the spearH2595 that is at his bolster,H4763 and the cruseH6835 of water,H4325 and let us go.H3212
26:12
So DavidH1732 tookH3947 the spearH2595 and the cruseH6835 of waterH4325 from Saul'sH7586 bolster;H7226 and they gat them away,H3212 and no man sawH7200 it, nor knewH3045 it, neither awaked:H6974 for they were all asleep;H3463 because a deep sleepH8639 from the LORDH3068 was fallenH5307 upon them.
26:13
Then DavidH1732 went overH5674 to the other side,H5676 and stoodH5975 on the topH7218 of an hillH2022 afar off;H7350 a greatH7227 spaceH4725 being between them:
26:14
And DavidH1732 criedH7121 to the people,H5971 and to AbnerH74 the sonH1121 of Ner,H5369 saying,H559 AnswerestH6030 thou not, Abner?H74 Then AbnerH74 answeredH6030 and said,H559 Who art thou that criestH7121 to the king?H4428
26:15
And DavidH1732 saidH559 to Abner,H74 Art not thou a valiant man?H376 and who is like to thee in Israel?H3478 wherefore then hast thou not keptH8104 thy lordH113 the king?H4428 for there cameH935 oneH259 of the peopleH5971 in to destroyH7843 the kingH4428 thy lord.H113
26:16
This thingH1697 is not goodH2896 that thou hast done.H6213 As the LORDH3068 liveth,H2416 ye are worthyH1121 to die,H4194 because ye have not keptH8104 your master,H113 the LORD'SH3068 anointed.H4899 And now seeH7200 where the king'sH4428 spearH2595 is, and the cruseH6835 of waterH4325 that was at his bolster.H4763
26:17
And SaulH7586 knewH5234 David'sH1732 voice,H6963 and said,H559 Is this thy voice,H6963 my sonH1121 David?H1732 And DavidH1732 said,H559 It is my voice,H6963 my lord,H113 O king.H4428
26:18
And he said,H559 Wherefore doth my lordH113 thus pursueH7291 afterH310 his servant?H5650 for what have I done?H6213 or what evilH7451 is in mine hand?H3027
26:19
Now therefore, I pray thee, let my lordH113 the kingH4428 hearH8085 the wordsH1697 of his servant.H5650 If the LORDH3068 have stirred thee upH5496 against me, let him acceptH7306 an offering:H4503 but if they be the childrenH1121 of men,H120 cursedH779 be they beforeH6440 the LORD;H3068 for they have drivenH1644 me out this dayH3117 from abidingH5596 in the inheritanceH5159 of the LORD,H3068 saying,H559 Go,H3212 serveH5647 otherH312 gods.H430
26:20
Now therefore, let not my bloodH1818 fallH5307 to the earthH776 before the faceH6440 of the LORD:H3068 for the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 is come outH3318 to seekH1245 aH259 flea,H6550 as when one doth huntH7291 a partridgeH7124 in the mountains.H2022
26:21
Then saidH559 Saul,H7586 I have sinned:H2398 return,H7725 my sonH1121 David:H1732 for I will no more do thee harm,H7489 because my soulH5315 was preciousH3365 in thine eyesH5869 this day:H3117 behold, I have played the fool,H5528 and have erredH7686 exceedinglyH7235, H3966.
26:22
And DavidH1732 answeredH6030 and said,H559 Behold the king'sH4428 spear!H2595 and let oneH259 of the young menH5288 come overH5674 and fetchH3947 it.
26:23
The LORDH3068 renderH7725 to every manH376 his righteousnessH6666 and his faithfulness:H530 for the LORDH3068 deliveredH5414 thee into my handH3027 to day,H3117 but I wouldH14 not stretch forthH7971 mine handH3027 against the LORD'SH3068 anointed.H4899
26:24
And, behold, as thy lifeH5315 was much set byH1431 this dayH3117 in mine eyes,H5869 so let my lifeH5315 be much set byH1431 in the eyesH5869 of the LORD,H3068 and let him deliverH5337 me out of all tribulation.H6869
26:25
Then SaulH7586 saidH559 to David,H1732 BlessedH1288 be thou, my sonH1121 David:H1732 thou shalt both doH6213 greatH6213 things, and also shalt stillH3201 prevail.H3201 So DavidH1732 wentH3212 on his way,H1870 and SaulH7586 returnedH7725 to his place.H4725
