Then saidH559 the LORDH3068 unto me; This gateH8179 shall be shut,H5462 it shall not be opened,H6605 and no manH376 shall enterH935 in by it; because the LORD,H3068 the GodH430 of Israel,H3478 hath enteredH935 in by it, therefore it shall be shut.H5462
44:3
It is for the prince;H5387 the prince,H5387 he shall sitH3427 in it to eatH398 breadH3899 beforeH6440 the LORD;H3068 he shall enterH935 by the wayH1870 of the porchH197 of that gate,H8179 and shall go outH3318 by the wayH1870 of the same.
44:4
Then broughtH935 he me the wayH1870 of the northH6828 gateH8179 beforeH6440 the house:H1004 and I looked,H7200 and, behold, the gloryH3519 of the LORDH3068 filledH4390 the houseH1004 of the LORD:H3068 and I fellH5307 upon my face.H6440

And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto me, SonH1121 of man,H120 markH7760 well,H3820 and beholdH7200 with thine eyes,H5869 and hearH8085 with thine earsH241 all that I sayH1696 unto thee concerning all the ordinancesH2708 of the houseH1004 of the LORD,H3068 and all the lawsH8451 thereof; and markH7760 wellH3820 the entering inH3996 of the house,H1004 with every going forthH4161 of the sanctuary.H4720
44:6
And thou shalt sayH559 to the rebellious,H4805 even to the houseH1004 of Israel,H3478 Thus saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069 O ye houseH1004 of Israel,H3478 let it sufficeH7227 you of all your abominations,H8441
44:7
In that ye have broughtH935 into my sanctuary strangersH5236, H1121, uncircumcisedH6189 in heart,H3820 and uncircumcisedH6189 in flesh,H1320 to be in my sanctuary,H4720 to polluteH2490 it, even my house,H1004 when ye offerH7126 my bread,H3899 the fatH2459 and the blood,H1818 and they have brokenH6565 my covenantH1285 becauseH413 of all your abominations.H8441
44:8
And ye have not keptH8104 the chargeH4931 of mine holy things:H6944 but ye have setH7760 keepersH8104 of my chargeH4931 in my sanctuaryH4720 for yourselves.
44:9
Thus saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069 No strangerH5236, H1121, uncircumcisedH6189 in heart,H3820 nor uncircumcisedH6189 in flesh,H1320 shall enterH935 into my sanctuary,H4720 of any stranger that is amongH8432 the childrenH1121 of Israel.H3478
44:10
And the LevitesH3881 that are gone away farH7368 from me, when IsraelH3478 went astray,H8582 which went astray awayH8582 from me afterH310 their idols;H1544 they shall even bearH5375 their iniquity.H5771
44:11
Yet they shall be ministersH8334 in my sanctuary,H4720 having chargeH6486 at the gatesH8179 of the house,H1004 and ministeringH8334 to the house:H1004 they shall slayH7819 the burnt offeringH5930 and the sacrificeH2077 for the people,H5971 and they shall standH5975 beforeH6440 them to ministerH8334 unto them.
44:12
Because they ministeredH8334 unto them beforeH6440 their idols,H1544 and caused the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 to fallH4383 into iniquity;H5771 therefore have I lifted upH5375 mine handH3027 against them, saithH5002 the LordH136 GOD,H3069 and they shall bearH5375 their iniquity.H5771
44:13
And they shall not come nearH5066 unto me, to do the office of a priestH3547 unto me, nor to come nearH5066 to any of my holy things,H6944 in the most holyH6944 place: but they shall bearH5375 their shame,H3639 and their abominationsH8441 which they have committed.H6213
44:14
But I will makeH5414 them keepersH8104 of the chargeH4931 of the house,H1004 for all the serviceH5656 thereof, and for all that shall be doneH6213 therein.
44:15
But the priestsH3548 the Levites,H3881 the sonsH1121 of Zadok,H6659 that keptH8104 the chargeH4931 of my sanctuaryH4720 when the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478 went astrayH8582 from me, they shall come nearH7126 to me to ministerH8334 unto me, and they shall standH5975 beforeH6440 me to offerH7126 unto me the fatH2459 and the blood,H1818 saithH5002 the LordH136 GOD:H3069
44:16
They shall enterH935 into my sanctuary,H4720 and they shall come nearH7126 to my table,H7979 to ministerH8334 unto me, and they shall keepH8104 my charge.H4931
44:17
And it shall come to pass, that when they enterH935 in at the gatesH8179 of the innerH6442 court,H2691 they shall be clothedH3847 with linenH6593 garments;H899 and no woolH6785 shall comeH5927 upon them, whiles they ministerH8334 in the gatesH8179 of the innerH6442 court,H2691 and within.H1004
44:18
They shall have linenH6593 bonnetsH6287 upon their heads,H7218 and shall have linenH6593 breechesH4370 upon their loins;H4975 they shall not girdH2296 themselves with any thing that causeth sweat.H3154
44:19
And when they go forthH3318 into the utterH2435 court,H2691 even into the utterH2435 courtH2691 to the people,H5971 they shall put offH6584 their garmentsH899 wherein they ministered,H8334 and layH3240 them in the holyH6944 chambers,H3957 and they shall putH3847 on otherH312 garments;H899 and they shall not sanctifyH6942 the peopleH5971 with their garments.H899
44:20
Neither shall they shaveH1548 their heads,H7218 nor suffer their locksH6545 to grow long;H7971 they shall onlyH3697 pollH3697 their heads.H7218
44:21
Neither shall any priestH3548 drinkH8354 wine,H3196 when they enterH935 into the innerH6442 court.H2691
44:22
Neither shall they takeH3947 for their wivesH802 a widow,H490 nor her that is put away:H1644 but they shall takeH3947 maidensH1330 of the seedH2233 of the houseH1004 of Israel,H3478 or a widowH490 that had a priestH3548 before.
44:23
And they shall teachH3384 my peopleH5971 the difference between the holyH6944 and profane,H2455 and cause them to discernH3045 between the uncleanH2931 and the clean.H2889
44:24
And in controversyH7379 they shall standH5975 in judgment;H8199 and they shall judgeH8199 it according to my judgments:H4941 and they shall keepH8104 my lawsH8451 and my statutesH2708 in all mine assemblies;H4150 and they shall hallowH6942 my sabbaths.H7676
44:25
And they shall comeH935 at no deadH4191 personH120 to defileH2930 themselves: but for father,H1 or for mother,H517 or for son,H1121 or for daughter,H1323 for brother,H251 or for sisterH269 that hath had no husband,H376 they may defileH2930 themselves.
44:26
And afterH310 he is cleansed,H2893 they shall reckonH5608 unto him sevenH7651 days.H3117

And in the dayH3117 that he goethH935 into the sanctuary,H6944 unto the innerH6442 court,H2691 to ministerH8334 in the sanctuary,H6944 he shall offerH7126 his sin offering,H2403 saithH5002 the LordH136 GOD.H3069

And it shall be unto them for an inheritance:H5159 I am their inheritance:H5159 and ye shall giveH5414 them no possessionH272 in Israel:H3478 I am their possession.H272

They shall eatH398 the meat offering,H4503 and the sin offering,H2403 and the trespass offering;H817 and every dedicated thingH2764 in IsraelH3478 shall be theirs.
44:30
And the firstH7225 of all the firstfruitsH1061 of all things, and every oblationH8641 of all, of every sort of your oblations,H8641 shall be the priest's:H3548 ye shall also giveH5414 unto the priestH3548 the firstH7225 of your dough,H6182 that he may cause the blessingH1293 to restH5117 in thine house.H1004

The priestsH3548 shall not eatH398 of any thing that is dead of itself,H5038 or torn,H2966 whether it be fowlH5775 or beast.H929
