And he saidH559 unto Jehoshaphat,H3092 Wilt thou goH3212 with me to battleH4421 to RamothgileadH1568, H7433? And JehoshaphatH3092 saidH559 to the kingH4428 of Israel,H3478 I am as thouH3644 art, my peopleH5971 as thy people,H5971 my horsesH5483 as thy horses.H5483

And JehoshaphatH3092 saidH559 unto the kingH4428 of Israel,H3478 Enquire,H1875 I pray thee, at the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 to day.H3117

Then the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 gatheredH6908 the prophetsH5030 together,H6908 about fourH702 hundredH3967 men,H376 and saidH559 unto them, Shall I goH3212 against RamothgileadH1568 toH7433 battle,H4421 or shall I forbear?H2308 And they said,H559 Go up;H5927 for the LordH136 shall deliverH5414 it into the handH3027 of the king.H4428

And JehoshaphatH3092 said,H559 Is there not here a prophetH5030 of the LORDH3068 besides,H5750 that we might enquireH1875 of him?

And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 saidH559 unto Jehoshaphat,H3092 There is yet oneH259 man,H376 MicaiahH4321 the sonH1121 of Imlah,H3229 by whom we may enquireH1875 of the LORD:H3068 but I hateH8130 him; for he doth not prophesyH5012 goodH2896 concerning me, but evil.H7451 And JehoshaphatH3092 said,H559 Let not the kingH4428 sayH559 so.

And all the prophetsH5030 prophesiedH5012 so, saying,H559 Go upH5927 to RamothgileadH1568, H7433, and prosper:H6743 for the LORDH3068 shall deliverH5414 it into the king'sH4428 hand.H3027

And the messengerH4397 that was goneH1980 to callH7121 MicaiahH4321 spakeH1696 unto him, saying,H559 Behold now, the wordsH1697 of the prophetsH5030 declare goodH2896 unto the kingH4428 with oneH259 mouth:H6310 let thy word,H1697 I pray thee, be like the wordH1697 of oneH259 of them, and speakH1696 that which is good.H2896

And MicaiahH4321 said,H559 As the LORDH3068 liveth,H2416 what the LORDH3068 saithH559 unto me, that will I speak.H1696

So he cameH935 to the king.H4428 And the kingH4428 saidH559 unto him, Micaiah,H4321 shall we goH3212 against RamothgileadH1568 toH7433 battle,H4421 or shall we forbear?H2308 And he answeredH559 him, Go,H5927 and prosper:H6743 for the LORDH3068 shall deliverH5414 it into the handH3027 of the king.H4428

And the kingH4428 saidH559 unto him, How many timesH6471 shall I adjureH7650 thee that thou tellH1696 me nothing but that which is trueH571 in the nameH8034 of the LORD?H3068

And he said,H559 I sawH7200 all IsraelH3478 scatteredH6327 upon the hills,H2022 as sheepH6629 that have not a shepherd:H7462 and the LORDH3068 said,H559 These have no master:H113 let them returnH7725 every manH376 to his houseH1004 in peace.H7965

And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 saidH559 unto Jehoshaphat,H3092 Did I not tellH559 thee that he would prophesyH5012 no goodH2896 concerning me, but evil?H7451

And he said,H559 HearH8085 thou therefore the wordH1697 of the LORD:H3068 I sawH7200 the LORDH3068 sittingH3427 on his throne,H3678 and all the hostH6635 of heavenH8064 standingH5975 by him on his right handH3225 and on his left.H8040

And the LORDH3068 said,H559 Who shall persuadeH6601 Ahab,H256 that he may go upH5927 and fallH5307 at RamothgileadH1568, H7433? And one saidH559 on this manner,H3541 and another saidH559 on that manner.H3541

And there came forthH3318 a spirit,H7307 and stoodH5975 beforeH6440 the LORD,H3068 and said,H559 I will persuadeH6601 him.

And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto him, Wherewith? And he said,H559 I will go forth,H3318 and I will be a lyingH8267 spiritH7307 in the mouthH6310 of all his prophets.H5030 And he said,H559 Thou shalt persuadeH6601 him, and prevailH3201 also: go forth,H3318 and doH6213 so.

Now therefore, behold, the LORDH3068 hath putH5414 a lyingH8267 spiritH7307 in the mouthH6310 of all these thy prophets,H5030 and the LORDH3068 hath spokenH1696 evilH7451 concerning thee.

But ZedekiahH6667 the sonH1121 of ChenaanahH3668 went near,H5066 and smoteH5221 MicaiahH4321 on the cheek,H3895 and said,H559 Which wayH335 wentH5674 the SpiritH7307 of the LORDH3068 from me to speakH1696 unto thee?

And MicaiahH4321 said,H559 Behold, thou shalt seeH7200 in that day,H3117 when thou shalt goH935 into an innerH2315 chamberH2315 to hideH2247 thyself.

And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 said,H559 TakeH3947 Micaiah,H4321 and carry him backH7725 unto AmonH526 the governorH8269 of the city,H5892 and to JoashH3101 the king'sH4428 son;H1121

And say,H559 Thus saithH559 the king,H4428 PutH7760 this fellow in the prisonH3608, H1004, and feedH398 him with breadH3899 of afflictionH3906 and with waterH4325 of affliction,H3906 until I comeH935 in peace.H7965

And MicaiahH4321 said,H559 If thou returnH7725 at allH7725 in peace,H7965 the LORDH3068 hath not spokenH1696 by me. And he said,H559 Hearken,H8085 O people,H5971 every one of you.

And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 saidH559 unto Jehoshaphat,H3092 I will disguiseH2664 myself, and enterH935 into the battle;H4421 but put thou onH3847 thy robes.H899 And the kingH4428 of IsraelH3478 disguisedH2664 himself, and wentH935 into the battle.H4421

But the kingH4428 of SyriaH758 commandedH6680 his thirtyH7970 and twoH8147 captainsH8269 that had rule over his chariots,H7393 saying,H559 FightH3898 neither with smallH6996 nor great,H1419 save only with the kingH4428 of Israel.H3478

And it came to pass, when the captainsH8269 of the chariotsH7393 sawH7200 Jehoshaphat,H3092 that they said,H559 Surely it is the kingH4428 of Israel.H3478 And they turned asideH5493 to fightH3898 against him: and JehoshaphatH3092 cried out.H2199

And JehoshaphatH3092 the sonH1121 of AsaH609 began to reignH4427 over JudahH3063 in the fourthH702 yearH8141 of AhabH256 kingH4428 of Israel.H3478
