Księga: 2 Księga Samuela 1:1
Tytuł oryginalny2 Samuel
Now it came to pass afterH310 the deathH4194 of Saul,H7586 when DavidH1732 was returnedH7725 from the slaughterH5221 of the Amalekites,H6002 and DavidH1732 had abodeH3427 twoH8147 daysH3117 in Ziklag;H6860
It came even to pass on the thirdH7992 day,H3117 that, behold, a manH376 cameH935 out of the campH4264 from SaulH7586 with his clothesH899 rent,H7167 and earthH127 upon his head:H7218 and so it was, when he cameH935 to David,H1732 that he fellH5307 to the earth,H776 and did obeisance.H7812
And DavidH1732 saidH559 unto him, From whence comestH935 thou? And he saidH559 unto him, Out of the campH4264 of IsraelH3478 am I escaped.H4422
And DavidH1732 saidH559 unto him, HowH4100 went the matter?H1697 I pray thee, tellH5046 me. And he answered,H559 That the peopleH5971 are fledH5127 from the battle,H4421 and manyH7235 of the peopleH5971 also are fallenH5307 and dead;H4191 and SaulH7586 and JonathanH3083 his sonH1121 are deadH4191 also.
And DavidH1732 saidH559 unto the young manH5288 that toldH5046 him, How knowestH3045 thou that SaulH7586 and JonathanH3083 his sonH1121 be dead?H4191
And the young manH5288 that toldH5046 him said,H559 As I happenedH7136 by chanceH7122 upon mountH2022 Gilboa,H1533 behold, SaulH7586 leanedH8172 upon his spear;H2595 and, lo, the chariotsH7393 and horsemenH6571 followedH1167 hardH1692 after him.
And when he lookedH6437 behindH310 him, he sawH7200 me, and calledH7121 unto me. And I answered,H559 Here am I.
And he saidH559 unto me, Who art thou? And I answeredH559 him, I am an Amalekite.H6003
He saidH559 unto me again, Stand,H5975 I pray thee, upon me, and slayH4191 me: for anguishH7661 is comeH270 upon me, because my lifeH5315 is yet whole in me.
So I stoodH5975 upon him, and slewH4191 him, because I was sureH3045 that he could not liveH2421 afterH310 that he was fallen:H5307 and I tookH3947 the crownH5145 that was upon his head,H7218 and the braceletH685 that was on his arm,H2220 and have broughtH935 them hither unto my lord.H113
Then DavidH1732 took holdH2388 on his clothes,H899 and rentH7167 them; and likewise all the menH582 that were with him:
And they mourned,H5594 and wept,H1058 and fastedH6684 until even,H6153 for Saul,H7586 and for JonathanH3083 his son,H1121 and for the peopleH5971 of the LORD,H3068 and for the houseH1004 of Israel;H3478 because they were fallenH5307 by the sword.H2719
And DavidH1732 saidH559 unto the young manH5288 that toldH5046 him, Whence art thou? And he answered,H559 I am the sonH1121 of a strangerH1616, H376, an Amalekite.H6003
And DavidH1732 saidH559 unto him, How wast thou not afraidH3372 to stretch forthH7971 thine handH3027 to destroyH7843 the LORD'SH3068 anointed?H4899
And DavidH1732 calledH7121 oneH259 of the young men,H5288 and said,H559 Go near,H5066 and fallH6293 upon him. And he smoteH5221 him that he died.H4191
And DavidH1732 saidH559 unto him, Thy bloodH1818 be upon thy head;H7218 for thy mouthH6310 hath testifiedH6030 against thee, saying,H559 I have slainH4191 the LORD'SH3068 anointed.H4899
And DavidH1732 lamentedH6969 with this lamentationH7015 over SaulH7586 and over JonathanH3083 his son:H1121
(Also he badeH559 them teachH3925 the childrenH1121 of JudahH3063 the use of the bow:H7198 behold, it is writtenH3789 in the bookH5612 of Jasher.H3477)
The beautyH6643 of IsraelH3478 is slainH2491 upon thy high places:H1116 how are the mightyH1368 fallen!H5307
TellH5046 it not in Gath,H1661 publishH1319 it not in the streetsH2351 of Askelon;H831 lest the daughtersH1323 of the PhilistinesH6430 rejoice,H8055 lest the daughtersH1323 of the uncircumcisedH6189 triumph.H5937
Ye mountainsH2022 of Gilboa,H1533 let there be no dew,H2919 neither let there be rain,H4306 upon you, nor fieldsH7704 of offerings:H8641 for there the shieldH4043 of the mightyH1368 is vilely cast away,H1602 the shieldH4043 of Saul,H7586 as though he had not been anointedH4899 with oil.H8081
From the bloodH1818 of the slain,H2491 from the fatH2459 of the mighty,H1368 the bowH7198 of JonathanH3083 turnedH7734 not back,H268 and the swordH2719 of SaulH7586 returnedH7725 not empty.H7387
SaulH7586 and JonathanH3083 were lovelyH157 and pleasantH5273 in their lives,H2416 and in their deathH4194 they were not divided:H6504 they were swifterH7043 than eagles,H5404 they were strongerH1396 than lions.H738
Ye daughtersH1323 of Israel,H3478 weep overH1058 Saul,H7586 who clothedH3847 you in scarlet,H8144 with other delights,H5730 who putH5927 on ornamentsH5716 of goldH2091 upon your apparel.H3830
How are the mightyH1368 fallenH5307 in the midstH8432 of the battle!H4421 O Jonathan,H3083 thou wast slainH2491 in thine high places.H1116
I am distressedH6887 for thee, my brotherH251 Jonathan:H3083 veryH3966 pleasantH5276 hast thou been unto me: thy loveH160 to me was wonderful,H6381 passing the loveH160 of women.H802
How are the mightyH1368 fallen,H5307 and the weaponsH3627 of warH4421 perished!H6
