And when he was departedH3212 thence, he lightedH4672 on JehonadabH3082 the sonH1121 of RechabH7394 coming to meetH7125 him: and he salutedH1288 him, and saidH559 to him, IsH3426 thine heartH3824 right,H3477 as my heartH3824 is with thy heart?H3824 And JehonadabH3082 answered,H559 It is.H3426 If it be, giveH5414 me thine hand.H3027 And he gaveH5414 him his hand;H3027 and he took him upH5927 to him into the chariot.H4818

And JehuH3058 gatheredH6908 all the peopleH5971 together,H6908 and saidH559 unto them, AhabH256 servedH5647 BaalH1168 a little;H4592 but JehuH3058 shall serveH5647 him much.H7235

Now therefore callH7121 unto me all the prophetsH5030 of Baal,H1168 all his servants,H5647 and all his priests;H3548 let noneH376 be wanting:H6485 for I have a greatH1419 sacrificeH2077 to do to Baal;H1168 whosoever shall be wanting,H6485 he shall not live.H2421 But JehuH3058 didH6213 it in subtilty,H6122 to the intent that he might destroyH6 the worshippersH5647 of Baal.H1168

And JehuH3058 said,H559 ProclaimH6942 a solemn assemblyH6116 for Baal.H1168 And they proclaimedH7121 it.

And JehuH3058 sentH7971 through all Israel:H3478 and all the worshippersH5647 of BaalH1168 came,H935 so that there was not a manH376 leftH7604 that cameH935 not. And they cameH935 into the houseH1004 of Baal;H1168 and the houseH1004 of BaalH1168 was fullH4390 from one endH6310 to another.H6310

And he saidH559 unto him that was over the vestry,H4458 Bring forthH3318 vestmentsH3830 for all the worshippersH5647 of Baal.H1168 And he brought them forthH3318 vestments.H4403

And JehuH3058 went,H935 and JehonadabH3082 the sonH1121 of Rechab,H7394 into the houseH1004 of Baal,H1168 and saidH559 unto the worshippersH5647 of Baal,H1168 Search,H2664 and lookH7200 that there beH3426 here with you none of the servantsH5650 of the LORD,H3068 but the worshippersH5647 of BaalH1168 only.

And when they went inH935 to offerH6213 sacrificesH2077 and burnt offerings,H5930 JehuH3058 appointedH7760 fourscoreH8084 menH376 without,H2351 and said,H559 If anyH376 of the menH582 whom I have broughtH935 into your handsH3027 escape,H4422 he that letteth him go, his lifeH5315 shall be for the lifeH5315 of him.

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an endH3615 of offeringH6213 the burnt offering,H5930 that JehuH3058 saidH559 to the guardH7323 and to the captains,H7991 Go in,H935 and slayH5221 them; let noneH376 come forth.H3318 And they smoteH5221 them with the edgeH6310 of the sword;H2719 and the guardH7323 and the captainsH7991 cast them out,H7993 and wentH3212 to the cityH5892 of the houseH1004 of Baal.H1168

Howbeit from the sinsH2399 of JeroboamH3379 the sonH1121 of Nebat,H5028 who made IsraelH3478 to sin,H2398 JehuH3058 departedH5493 not from afterH310 them, to wit, the goldenH2091 calvesH5695 that were in Bethel,H1008 and that were in Dan.H1835

And the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto Jehu,H3058 Because thou hast done wellH2895 in executingH6213 that which is rightH3477 in mine eyes,H5869 and hast doneH6213 unto the houseH1004 of AhabH256 according to all that was in mine heart,H3824 thy childrenH1121 of the fourthH7243 generation shall sitH3427 on the throneH3678 of Israel.H3478
