Tytuł oryginalny1 Samuel
And it came to pass in those days,H3117 that the PhilistinesH6430 gatheredH6908 their armiesH4264 togetherH6908 for warfare,H6635 to fightH3898 with Israel.H3478 And AchishH397 saidH559 unto David,H1732 KnowH3045 thou assuredly,H3045 that thou shalt go outH3318 with me to battle,H4264 thou and thy men.H582
And DavidH1732 saidH559 to Achish,H397 SurelyH3651 thou shalt knowH3045 what thy servantH5650 can do.H6213 And AchishH397 saidH559 to David,H1732 Therefore will I makeH7760 thee keeperH8104 of mine headH7218 for ever.H3117
Now SamuelH8050 was dead,H4191 and all IsraelH3478 had lamentedH5594 him, and buriedH6912 him in Ramah,H7414 even in his own city.H5892 And SaulH7586 had put awayH5493 those that had familiar spirits,H178 and the wizards,H3049 out of the land.H776
And the PhilistinesH6430 gathered themselves together,H6908 and cameH935 and pitchedH2583 in Shunem:H7766 and SaulH7586 gatheredH6908 all IsraelH3478 together,H6908 and they pitchedH2583 in Gilboa.H1533
And when SaulH7586 sawH7200 the hostH4264 of the Philistines,H6430 he was afraid,H3372 and his heartH3820 greatlyH3966 trembled.H2729
And when SaulH7586 enquiredH7592 of the LORD,H3068 the LORDH3068 answeredH6030 him not, neither by dreams,H2472 nor by Urim,H224 nor by prophets.H5030
Then saidH559 SaulH7586 unto his servants,H5650 SeekH1245 me a womanH802 that hathH1172 a familiar spirit,H178 that I may goH3212 to her, and enquireH1875 of her. And his servantsH5650 saidH559 to him, Behold, there is a womanH802 that hathH1172 a familiar spiritH178 at Endor.H5874
And SaulH7586 disguisedH2664 himself, and put onH3847 otherH312 raiment,H899 and he went,H3212 and twoH8147 menH582 with him, and they cameH935 to the womanH802 by night:H3915 and he said,H559 I pray thee, divineH7080 unto me by the familiar spirit,H178 and bring me him up,H5927 whom I shall nameH559 unto thee.
And the womanH802 saidH559 unto him, Behold, thou knowestH3045 what SaulH7586 hath done,H6213 how he hath cut offH3772 those that have familiar spirits,H178 and the wizards,H3049 out of the land:H776 wherefore then layest thou a snareH5367 for my life,H5315 to cause me to die?H4191
And SaulH7586 swareH7650 to her by the LORD,H3068 saying,H559 As the LORDH3068 liveth,H2416 there shallH518 no punishmentH5771 happenH7136 to thee for this thing.H1697
Then saidH559 the woman,H802 Whom shall I bring upH5927 unto thee? And he said,H559 Bring me upH5927 Samuel.H8050
And when the womanH802 sawH7200 Samuel,H8050 she criedH2199 with a loudH1419 voice:H6963 and the womanH802 spakeH559 to Saul,H7586 saying,H559 Why hast thou deceivedH7411 me? for thou art Saul.H7586
And the kingH4428 saidH559 unto her, Be not afraid:H3372 for what sawestH7200 thou? And the womanH802 saidH559 unto Saul,H7586 I sawH7200 godsH430 ascendingH5927 out of the earth.H776
And he saidH559 unto her, What formH8389 is he of? And she said,H559 An oldH2205 manH376 cometh up;H5927 and he is coveredH5844 with a mantle.H4598 And SaulH7586 perceivedH3045 that it was Samuel,H8050 and he stoopedH6915 with his faceH639 to the ground,H776 and bowedH7812 himself.
And SamuelH8050 saidH559 to Saul,H7586 Why hast thou disquietedH7264 me, to bring me up?H5927 And SaulH7586 answered,H559 I am soreH3966 distressed;H6887 for the PhilistinesH6430 make warH3898 against me, and GodH430 is departedH5493 from me, and answerethH6030 me no more, neither byH3027 prophets,H5030 nor by dreams:H2472 therefore I have calledH7121 thee, that thou mayest make knownH3045 unto me what I shall do.H6213
Then saidH559 Samuel,H8050 Wherefore then dost thou askH7592 of me, seeing the LORDH3068 is departedH5493 from thee, and is become thine enemy?H6145
And the LORDH3068 hath doneH6213 to him, as he spakeH1696 by me:H3027 for the LORDH3068 hath rentH7167 the kingdomH4467 out of thine hand,H3027 and givenH5414 it to thy neighbour,H7453 even to David:H1732
BecauseH834 thou obeyedstH8085 not the voiceH6963 of the LORD,H3068 nor executedstH6213 his fierceH2740 wrathH639 upon Amalek,H6002 therefore hath the LORDH3068 doneH6213 this thingH1697 unto thee this day.H3117
Moreover the LORDH3068 will also deliverH5414 IsraelH3478 with thee into the handH3027 of the Philistines:H6430 and to morrowH4279 shalt thou and thy sonsH1121 be with me: the LORDH3068 also shall deliverH5414 the hostH4264 of IsraelH3478 into the handH3027 of the Philistines.H6430
Then SaulH7586 fellH5307 straightwayH4116 allH4393 alongH6967 on the earth,H776 and was soreH3966 afraid,H3372 because of the wordsH1697 of Samuel:H8050 and there was no strengthH3581 in him; for he had eatenH398 no breadH3899 all the day,H3117 nor all the night.H3915
And the womanH802 cameH935 unto Saul,H7586 and sawH7200 that he was soreH3966 troubled,H926 and saidH559 unto him, Behold, thine handmaidH8198 hath obeyedH8085 thy voice,H6963 and I have putH7760 my lifeH5315 in my hand,H3709 and have hearkenedH8085 unto thy wordsH1697 which thou spakestH1696 unto me.
Now therefore, I pray thee, hearkenH8085 thou also unto the voiceH6963 of thine handmaid,H8198 and let me setH7760 a morselH6595 of breadH3899 beforeH6440 thee; and eat,H398 that thou mayest have strength,H3581 when thou goestH3212 on thy way.H1870
But he refused,H3985 and said,H559 I will not eat.H398 But his servants,H5650 together with the woman,H802 compelledH6555 him; and he hearkenedH8085 unto their voice.H6963 So he aroseH6965 from the earth,H776 and satH3427 upon the bed.H4296
And the womanH802 had a fatH4770 calfH5695 in the house;H1004 and she hasted,H4116 and killedH2076 it, and tookH3947 flour,H7058 and kneadedH3888 it, and did bakeH644 unleavened breadH4682 thereof:
And she broughtH5066 it beforeH6440 Saul,H7586 and beforeH6440 his servants;H5650 and they did eat.H398 Then they rose up,H6965 and went awayH3212 that night.H3915
