and they will lamentH5594 thee, saying, AhH1945 lord!H113 for I have pronouncedH1696 the word,H1697 saithH5002 the LORD.H3068 6 Then JeremiahH3414 the prophetH5030 spakeH1696 all these wordsH1697 unto ZedekiahH6667 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 in Jerusalem,H3389 7 When the kingH4428 of Babylon'sH894 armyH2428 foughtH3898 against Jerusalem,H3389 and against all the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063 that were left,H3498 against Lachish,H3923 and against Azekah:H5825 for these defencedH4013 citiesH5892 remainedH7604 of the citiesH5892 of Judah.H3063 8 This is the wordH1697 that came unto JeremiahH3414 from the LORD,H3068 afterH310 that the kingH4428 ZedekiahH6667 had madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with all the peopleH5971 which were at Jerusalem,H3389 to proclaimH7121 libertyH1865 unto them; 9 That every manH376 should let his manservant,H5650 and every manH376 his maidservant,H8198 being an HebrewH5680 or an Hebrewess,H5680 goH7971 free;H2670 that none should serveH5647 himself of them, to wit, of a JewH3064 his brother.H251 10 Now when all the princes,H8269 and all the people,H5971 which had enteredH935 into the covenant,H1285 heardH8085 that every oneH376 should let his manservant,H5650 and every oneH376 his maidservant,H8198 goH7971 free,H2670 that none should serveH5647 themselves of them any more, then they obeyed,H8085 and let them go.H7971 11 But afterwardH310 they turned,H7725 and caused the servantsH5650 and the handmaids,H8198 whom they had let goH7971 free,H2670 to return,H7725 and brought them into subjectionH3533 for servantsH5650 and for handmaids.H8198 12 Therefore the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came to JeremiahH3414 from the LORD,H3068 saying,H559 13 Thus saithH559 the LORD,H3068 the GodH430 of Israel;H3478 I madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with your fathersH1 in the dayH3117 that I brought them forthH3318 out of the landH776 of Egypt,H4714 out of the houseH1004 of bondmen,H5650 saying,H559 14 At the endH7093 of sevenH7651 yearsH8141 let ye goH7971 every manH376 his brotherH251 an Hebrew,H5680 which hath been soldH4376 unto thee; and when he hath servedH5647 thee sixH8337 years,H8141 thou shalt let him goH7971 freeH2670 from thee: but your fathersH1 hearkenedH8085 not unto me, neither inclinedH5186 their ear.H241 15 And ye were nowH3117 turned,H7725 and had doneH6213 rightH3477 in my sight,H5869 in proclaimingH7121 libertyH1865 every manH376 to his neighbour;H7453 and ye had madeH3772 a covenantH1285 beforeH6440 me in the houseH1004 which is calledH7121 by my name:H8034 16 But ye turnedH7725 and pollutedH2490 my name,H8034 and caused every manH376 his servant,H5650 and every manH376 his handmaid,H8198 whom ye had setH7971 at libertyH2670 at their pleasure,H5315 to return,H7725 and brought them into subjection,H3533 to be unto you for servantsH5650 and for handmaids.H8198 17 Therefore thus saithH559 the LORD;H3068 Ye have not hearkenedH8085 unto me, in proclaimingH7121 liberty,H1865 every oneH376 to his brother,H251 and every manH376 to his neighbour:H7453 behold, I proclaimH7121 a libertyH1865 for you, saithH5002 the LORD,H3068 to the sword,H2719 to the pestilence,H1698 and to the famine;H7458 and I will makeH5414 you to be removedH2189, H2113 into all the kingdomsH4467 of the earth.H776 18 And I will giveH5414 the menH582 that have transgressedH5674 my covenant,H1285 which have not performedH6965 the wordsH1697 of the covenantH1285 which they had madeH3772 beforeH6440 me, when they cutH3772 the calfH5695 in twain,H8147 and passedH5674 between the partsH1335 thereof, 19 The princesH8269 of Judah,H3063 and the princesH8269 of Jerusalem,H3389 the eunuchs,H5631 and the priests,H3548 and all the peopleH5971 of the land,H776 which passedH5674 between the partsH1335 of the calf;H5695 20 I will even giveH5414 them into the handH3027 of their enemies,H341 and into the handH3027 of them that seekH1245 their life:H5315 and their dead bodiesH5038 shall be for meatH3978 unto the fowlsH5775 of the heaven,H8064 and to the beastsH929 of the earth.H776 21 And ZedekiahH6667 kingH4428 of JudahH3063 and his princesH8269 will I giveH5414 into the handH3027 of their enemies,H341 and into the handH3027 of them that seekH1245 their life,H5315 and into the handH3027 of the kingH4428 of Babylon'sH894 army,H2428 which are gone upH5927 from you. 22 Behold, I will command,H6680 saithH5002 the LORD,H3068 and cause them to returnH7725 to this city;H5892 and they shall fightH3898 against it, and takeH3920 it, and burnH8313 it with fire:H784 and I will makeH5414 the citiesH5892 of JudahH3063 a desolationH8077 without an inhabitant.H3427
