και^G2532 and ουκ^G3756 I do not οίδα^G1492 know την^G3588 είσοδόν μου^G1529 my entering και^G2532 and την^G3588 έξοδόν μου^G1841 my exiting. ⁸και^G2532 And ο^G3588 δούλός σου^G1401 your servant εν^G1722 is in μέσω^G3319 the midst του^G3588 λαού σου^G2992 of your people ον^G3739 whom εξελέξω^G1586 you chose, λαόν^G2992 people πολύν^G4183 a populous ος^G3739 who ουκ^G3756 cannot αριθμηθήσεται^G705 be counted. ⁹και^G2532 And δώσεις^G1325 you shall give τω^G3588 to δούλω σου^G1401 your servant καρδίαν^G2588 a heart του^G3588 ακούειν^G191 to hear και^G2532 and διακρίνειν^G1252 to litigate τον^G3588 λαόν σου^G2992 your people εν^G1722 in δικαιοσύνη^G1343 righteousness, του^G3588 συνιέναι^G4920 to perceive αναμέσον between αγαθού^G18 good και^G2532 and κακού^G2556 bad. ότι^G3754 For τις^G5100 who δυνήσεται^G1410 shall be able κρίνειν^G2919 to judge τον^G3588 λαόν σου^G2992 for your people τον^G3588 βαρύν τούτον^G926 this weighty thing? ¹⁰και^G2532 And ήρεσεν^G700 was pleasing ο^G3588 the λόγος^G3056 word ενώπιον^G1799 before κυρίου^G2962 the lord, ότι^G3754 that ητήσατο Σολομών^G154 Solomon asked το^G3588 ρήμα τούτο^G4487 this thing. ¹¹και^G2532 And είπε κύριος^G2036 the lord said προς^G4314 to αυτόν^G1473 him, ανθ΄ ων Because ητήσω^G154 you asked το^G3588 ρήμα τούτο^G4487 this thing παρ΄^G3844 from εμού^G1473 me, και^G2532 and ουκ^G3756 you did not ητήσω^G154 ask σεαυτώ^G4572 for yourself ημέρας^G2250 days πολλάς^G4183 many, και^G2532 and ουκ^G3756 you did not ητήσω^G154 ask πλούτον^G4149 for riches, ουδέ^G3761 nor ητήσω^G154 asked ψυχάς^G5590 for the lives των^G3588 εχθρών σου^G2190 of your enemies; αλλ΄^G235 but ητήσω^G154 you asked σεαυτώ^G4572 for yourself σύνεσιν^G4907 understanding του^G3588 εισακούειν^G1522 to hear κρίμα^G2917 judgment; ¹²ιδού^G2400 behold, πεποίηκα^G4160 I have done κατά^G2596 according to το^G3588 ρήμά σου^G4487 your word; ιδού^G2400 behold, δέδωκά^G1325 I give σοι^G1473 to you καρδίαν^G2588 heart φρονίμην^G5429 an intelligent και^G2532 and σοφήν^G4680 wise. ως^G5613 as συ^G1473 you ου γέγονεν^G3756 There has not been one έμπροσθέν^G1715 before σου^G1473 you, και^G2532 and μετά^G3326 after σε^G1473 you ουκ αναστήσεται^G3756 there shall not rise up όμοιός^G3664 one likened σοι^G1473 to you. ¹³και^G2532 And γε^G1065 indeed α^G3739 what ουκ^G3756 you have not ητήσω^G154 asked, δέδωκά^G1325 I have given σοι^G1473 to you, και^G2532 even πλούτον^G4149 riches και^G2532 and δόξαν^G1391 glory, ως^G5613 as ου γέγονεν^G3756 there is not ανήρ^G435 a man όμοιός^G3664 likened σοι^G1473 to you εν^G1722 among τοις^G3588 the βασιλεύσι^G935 kings. ¹⁴και^G2532 And εάν^G1437 if πορευθής^G4198 you should have gone εν^G1722 in τη^G3588 οδώ μου^G3598 my way, του^G3588 φυλάσσειν^G5442 to guard τας^G3588 εντολάς μου^G1785 my commandments, και^G2532 and τα^G3588 προστάγματά μου^G1473 my orders, ως^G5613 as επορεύθη^G4198 went Δαυίδ David ο^G3588 πατήρ σου^G3962 your father, και^G2532 then μακρυνώ I will prolong τας^G3588 ημέρας σου^G2250 your days. ¹⁵και^G2532 And εξυπνίσθη Σολομών^G1852 Solomon woke up και^G2532 and ιδού^G2400 knew ενύπνιον^G1798 the dream. και^G2532 And ανέστη^G450 he rose up και^G2532 and παραγίνεται^G3854 came εις^G1519 unto Ιερουσαλήμ Jerusalem, και^G2532 and έστη^G2476 he stood κατά πρόσωπον^G2596 in front του^G3588 of the θυσιαστηρίου^G2379 altar, του^G3588 of the one κατά πρόσωπον^G2596 in front της^G3588 of the κιβωτού^G2787 ark διαθήκης^G1242 of the covenant κυρίου^G2962 of the lord, και^G2532 and ανήγαγεν^G321 he led up ολοκαυτώσεις whole burnt-offerings, και^G2532 and εποίησεν^G4160 made ειρηνικάς^G1516 peace offerings, και^G2532 and εποίησε^G4160 made πότον^G4224 a banquet πάσι^G3956 to all τοις^G3588 παισίν αυτού^G3816 his servants. ¹⁶τότε^G5119 Then ώφθησαν^G3708 there appeared δύο^G1417 two γυναίκες^G1135 women πόρναι^G4204 harlots τω^G3588 unto the βασιλεί^G935 king, και^G2532 and έστησαν^G2476 they stood ενώπιον^G1799 before αυτού^G1473 him. ¹⁷και^G2532 And είπεν^G2036 said η^G3588 the γυνή^G1135 woman μία^G1520 one, εν^G1722 Hear εμοί^G1473 me, κύριέ μου^G2962 O my master. εγώ^G1473 I και^G2532 and η^G3588 γυνή αύτη^G1135 this woman ωκούμεν^G3611 live εν^G1722 in οίκω^G3624 house ενί^G1520 one, και^G2532 and ετέκομεν^G5088 we gave birth εν^G1722 in τω^G3588 the οίκω^G3624 house. ¹⁸και^G2532 And εγένετο^G1096 it came to pass τη^G3588 in the ημέρα^G2250 day τη^G3588 τρίτη^G5154 third τεκούσης μου^G5088 of my giving birth, έτεκε^G5088 gave birth και^G2532 also η^G3588 γυνή αύτη^G1135 this woman. και^G2532 And ήμεν we were κατά^G2596 in το^G3588 the αυτό^G1473 same place, και^G2532 and ουκ ην^G3756 there was ουθείς^G3762 no one μεθ΄^G3326 with ημών^G1473 us, πάρεξ only αμφοτέρων^G297 both ημών^G1473 of us εν^G1722 in τω^G3588 the οίκω^G3624 house. ¹⁹και^G2532 And απέθανεν^G599 died ο^G3588 the υιός^G5207 son της^G3588 γυναικός ταύτης^G1135 of this woman την^G3588 in the νύκτα^G3571 night, ως^G5613 as επεκοιμήθη she rested επ΄^G1909 upon αυτόν^G1473 it. ²⁰και^G2532 And ανέστη^G450 she rose up μεσόν^G3319 in the middle της^G3588 of the νυκτός^G3571 night, και^G2532 and έλαβε^G2983 she took τον^G3588 υιόν μου^G5207 my son εκ^G1537 from των^G3588 αγκαλών μου^G43 my embrace, και^G2532 and η^G3588 δούλη σου^G1399 your maidservant εκοιμάτο rested, και^G2532 and εκοίμισε αυτό^G1473 she rested it εν^G1722 in τω^G3588 κόλπω αυτής^G2859 her bosom, και^G2532 and τον^G3588 the υιόν^G5207 son τεθνηκότα^G2348 having died εκοίμισεν she rested εν^G1722 in τω^G3588 κόλπω μου^G2859 my bosom. ²¹και^G2532 And ανέστην^G450 I rose up τοπρωϊ^G4404 in the morning θηλάσαι^G2337 to nurse τον^G3588 υιόν μου^G5207 my son, και^G2532 and εκείνος^G1565 that one ην was τεθνηκώς^G2348 the one having died. και^G2532 And ιδού^G2400 behold, κατενόησα^G2657 I contemplated αυτόν^G1473 him τοπρωϊ^G4404 in the morning; και^G2532 and ιδού^G2400 behold, ουκ ην^G3756 he was not ο^G3588 υιός μου^G5207 my son ον^G3739 whom έτεκον^G5088 I gave birth. ²²και^G2532 And είπεν^G2036 said η^G3588 γυνή^G1135 woman η^G3588 the ετέρα^G2087 other, ουχί^G3780 Not so, αλλά^G235 for ο^G3588 υιός μου^G5207 my son ο^G3588 is the one ζων^G2198 living, και^G2532 and υιός σου^G5207 your son ο^G3588 is the one τεθνηκώς^G2348 having died. και^G2532 And αυτή^G1473 she είπεν^G2036 said, ουχί^G3780 Not so, ο^G3588 υιός σου^G5207 your son ο^G3588 is the one τενηκώς^G2348 having died, και^G2532 and υιός μου^G5207 my son ο^G3588 is the one ζων^G2198 living. και^G2532 And ελάλησαν^G2980 they spoke ενώπιον^G1799 before του^G3588 the βασιλέως^G935 king. ²³και^G2532 And είπεν^G2036 said ο^G3588 the βασιλεύς^G935 king αυταίς^G1473 to them, συ^G1473 You here λέγεις^G3004 say, ούτος^G3778 This ο^G3588 υιός μου^G5207 my son ο ζων^G3588 is the one living, και^G2532 and ο^G3588 υιός ταύτης^G5207 this one's son ο^G3588 is the one τεθνηκώς^G2348 having died. και^G2532 And συ^G1473 you there λέγεις^G3004 say, ουχί^G3780 Not so, αλλά^G235 but ο^G3588 υιός μου^G5207 my son ο^G3588 is the one ζων^G2198 living, και^G2532 and ο^G3588 υιός ταύτης^G5207 this one's son ο^G3588 is the one τεθνηκώς^G2348 having died. ²⁴και^G2532 And είπεν^G2036 said ο^G3588 the βασιλεύς^G935 king, λάβετέ^G2983 Take μοι^G1473 for me μάχαιραν^G3162 a sword! και^G2532 And προσήνεγκαν^G4374 they brought την^G3588 the μάχαιραν^G3162 sword ενώπιον^G1799 before του^G3588 the βασιλέως^G935 king. ²⁵και^G2532 And είπεν^G2036 said ο^G3588 the βασιλεύς^G935 king, διέλετε^G1244 Divide το^G3588 παιδίον^G3813 child το^G3588 the ζων^G2198 living εις^G1519 into δύο^G1417 two, και^G2532 and δότε^G1325 give το^G3588 the ήμισυ^G2255 one half αυτού^G1473 of him ταύτη^G3778 to this one, και^G2532 and το^G3588 the other ήμισυ^G2255 half αυτού^G1473 of him ταύτη^G3778 to this other one! ²⁶και^G2532 And απεκρίθη^G611 answered η^G3588 the γυνή^G1135 woman ης^G3739 of whom ην was the mother ο^G3588 of the υιός^G5207 son ο^G3588 ζων^G2198 living, και^G2532 and είπε^G2036 she said προς^G4314 to τον^G3588 the βασιλέα^G935 king, ότι^G3754 for εταράχθη^G5015 was disturbed η^G3588 μήτρα^G3388 womb αυτής^G1473 her επί^G1909 over τω^G3588 υιώ αυτής^G5207 her son, και^G2532 and είπεν^G2036 she said, εν^G1722 Hear εμοί^G1473 me, κύριε^G2962 O master. δότε^G1325 give αυτή^G1473 to her το^G3588 the παιδίον^G3813 child, και^G2532 and θανάτω^G2288 to death μη^G3361 let not θανατώσητε^G2289 be put to death αυτό^G1473 it! και^G2532 And αύτη^G3778 she the other είπε^G2036 said, μήτε^G3383 Neither εμοί^G1473 to me μήτε^G3383 nor αυτή^G1473 to her έστω let it be, διέλετε^G1244 divide αυτό^G1473 it! ²⁷και^G2532 And απεκρίθη^G611 responded ο^G3588 the βασιλεύς^G935 king και^G2532 and είπε^G2036 said, δότε^G1325 Give το^G3588 the παιδίον^G3813 child το^G3588 ζων^G2198 living τη^G3588 to the one ειπούση^G2036 having said, δότε^G1325 Give αυτή αυτό^G1473 it to her! και^G2532 and θανάτω^G2288 unto death μη^G3361 you should not θανατώσητε αυτό^G2289 put it to death - αυτή^G1473 she is η^G3588 μήτηρ αυτού^G3384 his mother. ²⁸και^G2532 And ήκουσε^G191 heard πας^G3956 all Ισραήλ Israel το^G3588 κρίμα τούτο^G2917 this ordinance ο^G3739 which έκρινεν^G2919 passed judgment ο^G3588 the βασιλεύς^G935 king, και^G2532 and εφοβήθησαν^G5399 they feared από^G575 from προσώπου^G4383 the presence του^G3588 of the βασιλέως^G935 king, ότι^G3754 for είδον^G1492 they knew ότι^G3754 that φρόνησις^G5428 intellect θεού^G2316 of God εν^G1722 was in αυτώ^G1473 him του^G3588 ποιείν^G4160 to do δικαιώμα^G1345 justice.
