That the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 may shewH5046 us the wayH1870 wherein we may walk,H3212 and the thingH1697 that we may do.H6213

Then JeremiahH3414 the prophetH5030 saidH559 unto them, I have heardH8085 you; behold, I will prayH6419 unto the LORDH3068 your GodH430 according to your words;H1697 and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thingH1697 the LORDH3068 shall answerH6030 you, I will declareH5046 it unto you; I will keepH4513 no thingH1697 backH4513 from you.

Then they saidH559 to Jeremiah,H3414 The LORDH3068 be a trueH571 and faithfulH539 witnessH5707 between us, if we doH6213 not even according to all thingsH1697 for the which the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 shall sendH7971 thee to us.

Whether it be good,H2896 or whether it be evil,H7451 we will obeyH8085 the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 our God,H430 to whom weH580 sendH7971 thee; that it may be wellH3190 with us, when we obeyH8085 the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 our God.H430

Then calledH7121 he JohananH3110 the sonH1121 of Kareah,H7143 and all the captainsH8269 of the forcesH2428 which were with him, and all the peopleH5971 from the leastH6996 even to the greatest,H1419
42:9
And saidH559 unto them, Thus saithH559 the LORD,H3068 the GodH430 of Israel,H3478 unto whom ye sentH7971 me to presentH5307 your supplicationH8467 beforeH6440 him;
42:10
If ye will stillH7725 abideH3427 in this land,H776 then will I buildH1129 you, and not pull you down,H2040 and I will plantH5193 you, and not pluck you up:H5428 for I repentH5162 me of the evilH7451 that I have doneH6213 unto you.
42:11
Be not afraidH3372 ofH6440 the kingH4428 of Babylon,H894 of whomH6440 ye are afraid;H3373 be not afraidH3372 of him, saithH5002 the LORD:H3068 for I am with you to saveH3467 you, and to deliverH5337 you from his hand.H3027
42:12
And I will shewH5414 merciesH7356 unto you, that he may have mercyH7355 upon you, and cause you to returnH7725 to your own land.H127

But if ye say,H559 We will not dwellH3427 in this land,H776 neither obeyH8085 the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 your God,H430
42:14
Saying,H559 No; but we will goH935 into the landH776 of Egypt,H4714 where we shall seeH7200 no war,H4421 nor hearH8085 the soundH6963 of the trumpet,H7782 nor have hungerH7456 of bread;H3899 and there will we dwell:H3427
42:15
And now therefore hearH8085 the wordH1697 of the LORD,H3068 ye remnantH7611 of Judah;H3063 Thus saithH559 the LORDH3068 of hosts,H6635 the GodH430 of Israel;H3478 If ye whollyH7760 setH7760 your facesH6440 to enterH935 into Egypt,H4714 and goH935 to sojournH1481 there;
42:16
Then it shall come to pass, that the sword,H2719 which ye feared,H3373 shall overtakeH5381 you there in the landH776 of Egypt,H4714 and the famine,H7458 whereof ye were afraid,H1672 shall follow closeH1692 afterH310 you there in Egypt;H4714 and there ye shall die.H4191
42:17
So shall it be with all the menH582 that setH7760 their facesH6440 to goH935 into EgyptH4714 to sojournH1481 there; they shall dieH4191 by the sword,H2719 by the famine,H7458 and by the pestilence:H1698 and none of them shall remainH8300 or escapeH6412 fromH6440 the evilH7451 that I will bringH935 upon them.
42:18
For thus saithH559 the LORDH3068 of hosts,H6635 the GodH430 of Israel;H3478 As mine angerH639 and my furyH2534 hath been poured forthH5413 upon the inhabitantsH3427 of Jerusalem;H3389 so shall my furyH2534 be poured forthH5413 upon you, when ye shall enterH935 into Egypt:H4714 and ye shall be an execration,H423 and an astonishment,H8047 and a curse,H7045 and a reproach;H2781 and ye shall seeH7200 this placeH4725 no more.
42:19
The LORDH3068 hath saidH1696 concerning you, O ye remnantH7611 of Judah;H3063 GoH935 ye not into Egypt:H4714 knowH3045 certainlyH3045 that I have admonishedH5749 you this day.H3117
42:20
For ye dissembledH8582 in your hearts,H5315 when ye sentH7971 me unto the LORDH3068 your God,H430 saying,H559 PrayH6419 for us unto the LORDH3068 our God;H430 and according unto all that the LORDH3068 our GodH430 shall say,H559 so declareH5046 unto us, and we will doH6213 it.
42:21
And now I have this dayH3117 declaredH5046 it to you; but ye have not obeyedH8085 the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 your God,H430 nor any thing for the which he hath sentH7971 me unto you.
42:22
Now therefore knowH3045 certainlyH3045 that ye shall dieH4191 by the sword,H2719 by the famine,H7458 and by the pestilence,H1698 in the placeH4725 whither ye desireH2654 to goH935 and to sojourn.H1481
