Wherefore the wrathH7110 of the LORDH3068 was upon JudahH3063 and Jerusalem,H3389 and he hath deliveredH5414 them to troubleH2189, H2113, to astonishment,H8047 and to hissing,H8322 as ye seeH7200 with your eyes.H5869

For, lo, our fathersH1 have fallenH5307 by the sword,H2719 and our sonsH1121 and our daughtersH1323 and our wivesH802 are in captivityH7628 for this.

Now they beganH2490 on the firstH259 day of the firstH7223 monthH2320 to sanctify,H6942 and on the eighthH8083 dayH3117 of the monthH2320 cameH935 they to the porchH197 of the LORD:H3068 so they sanctifiedH6942 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 in eightH8083 days;H3117 and in the sixteenthH6240 dayH8337 of the firstH7223 monthH2320 they made an end.H3615

Then they wentH935 inH6441 to HezekiahH2396 the king,H4428 and said,H559 We have cleansedH2891 all the houseH1004 of the LORD,H3068 and the altarH4196 of burnt offering,H5930 with all the vesselsH3627 thereof, and the shewbreadH4635 table,H7979 with all the vesselsH3627 thereof.

Moreover all the vessels,H3627 which kingH4428 AhazH271 in his reignH4438 did cast awayH2186 in his transgression,H4604 have we preparedH3559 and sanctified,H6942 and, behold, they are beforeH6440 the altarH4196 of the LORD.H3068

Then HezekiahH3169 the kingH4428 rose early,H7925 and gatheredH622 the rulersH8269 of the city,H5892 and went upH5927 to the houseH1004 of the LORD.H3068

And they broughtH935 sevenH7651 bullocks,H6499 and sevenH7651 rams,H352 and sevenH7651 lambs,H3532 and sevenH7651 heH6842 goats,H5795 for a sin offeringH2403 for the kingdom,H4467 and for the sanctuary,H4720 and for Judah.H3063 And he commandedH559 the priestsH3548 the sonsH1121 of AaronH175 to offerH5927 them on the altarH4196 of the LORD.H3068

So they killedH7819 the bullocks,H1241 and the priestsH3548 receivedH6901 the blood,H1818 and sprinkledH2236 it on the altar:H4196 likewise, when they had killedH7819 the rams,H352 they sprinkledH2236 the bloodH1818 upon the altar:H4196 they killedH7819 also the lambs,H3532 and they sprinkledH2236 the bloodH1818 upon the altar.H4196

And they brought forthH5066 the he goatsH8163 for the sin offeringH2403 beforeH6440 the kingH4428 and the congregation;H6951 and they laidH5564 their handsH3027 upon them:

And the priestsH3548 killedH7819 them, and they made reconciliationH2398 with their bloodH1818 upon the altar,H4196 to make an atonementH3722 for all Israel:H3478 for the kingH4428 commandedH559 that the burnt offeringH5930 and the sin offeringH2403 should be made for all Israel.H3478

And he setH5975 the LevitesH3881 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 with cymbals,H4700 with psalteries,H5035 and with harps,H3658 according to the commandmentH4687 of David,H1732 and of GadH1410 the king'sH4428 seer,H2374 and NathanH5416 the prophet:H5030 for so was the commandmentH4687 ofH3027 the LORDH3068 byH3027 his prophets.H5030

And the LevitesH3881 stoodH5975 with the instrumentsH3627 of David,H1732 and the priestsH3548 with the trumpets.H2689

And HezekiahH2396 commandedH559 to offerH5927 the burnt offeringH5930 upon the altar.H4196 And whenH6256 the burnt offeringH5930 began,H2490 the songH7892 of the LORDH3068 beganH2490 also with the trumpets,H2689 and with the instrumentsH3627 ordained byH3027 DavidH1732 kingH4428 of Israel.H3478

And all the congregationH6951 worshipped,H7812 and the singersH7892 sang,H7891 and the trumpetersH2689 soundedH2690, H2690: and all this continued until the burnt offeringH5930 was finished.H3615

And when they had made an endH3615 of offering,H5927 the kingH4428 and all that were presentH4672 with him bowedH3766 themselves, and worshipped.H7812

Moreover HezekiahH3169 the kingH4428 and the princesH8269 commandedH559 the LevitesH3881 to sing praiseH1984 unto the LORDH3068 with the wordsH1697 of David,H1732 and of AsaphH623 the seer.H2374 And they sang praisesH1984 with gladness,H8057 and they bowed their headsH6915 and worshipped.H7812

Then HezekiahH3169 answeredH6030 and said,H559 Now ye have consecratedH4390, H3027 yourselves unto the LORD,H3068 come nearH5066 and bringH935 sacrificesH2077 and thank offeringsH8426 into the houseH1004 of the LORD.H3068 And the congregationH6951 brought inH935 sacrificesH2077 and thank offerings;H8426 and as many as were of a freeH5081 heartH3820 burnt offerings.H5930

And the numberH4557 of the burnt offerings,H5930 which the congregationH6951 brought,H935 was threescore and tenH7657 bullocks,H1241 an hundredH3967 rams,H352 and two hundredH3967 lambs:H3532 all these were for a burnt offeringH5930 to the LORD.H3068

And the consecrated thingsH6944 were sixH8337 hundredH3967 oxenH1241 and threeH7969 thousandH505 sheep.H6629

But the priestsH3548 were too few,H4592 so that they couldH3201 not flayH6584 all the burnt offerings:H5930 wherefore their brethrenH251 the LevitesH3881 did helpH2388 them, till the workH4399 was ended,H3615 and until the other priestsH3548 had sanctifiedH6942 themselves: for the LevitesH3881 were more uprightH3477 in heartH3824 to sanctifyH6942 themselves than the priests.H3548
