If one be foundH4672 slainH2491 in the landH127 which the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 givethH5414 thee to possessH3423 it, lyingH5307 in the field,H7704 and it be not knownH3045 who hath slainH5221 him:
Then thy eldersH2205 and thy judgesH8199 shall come forth,H3318 and they shall measureH4058 unto the citiesH5892 which are round aboutH5439 him that is slain:H2491
And it shall be, that the cityH5892 which is nextH7138 unto the slain man,H2491 even the eldersH2205 of that cityH5892 shall takeH3947 an heiferH5697, H1241, which hath not been wrought with,H5647 and which hath not drawnH4900 in the yoke;H5923
And the eldersH2205 of that cityH5892 shall bring downH3381 the heiferH5697 unto a roughH386 valley,H5158 which is neither earedH5647 nor sown,H2232 and shall strike offH6202 the heifer'sH5697 neckH6202 there in the valley:H5158
And the priestsH3548 the sonsH1121 of LeviH3878 shall come near;H5066 for them the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 hath chosenH977 to ministerH8334 unto him, and to blessH1288 in the nameH8034 of the LORD;H3068 and by their wordH6310 shall every controversyH7379 and every strokeH5061 be tried:
And all the eldersH2205 of that city,H5892 that are nextH7138 unto the slainH2491 man, shall washH7364 their handsH3027 over the heiferH5697 that is beheadedH6202 in the valley:H5158
And they shall answerH6030 and say,H559 Our handsH3027 have not shedH8210 this blood,H1818 neither have our eyesH5869 seenH7200 it.
Be merciful,H3722 O LORD,H3068 unto thy peopleH5971 Israel,H3478 whom thou hast redeemed,H6299 and layH5414 not innocentH5355 bloodH1818 unto thy peopleH5971 of Israel'sH3478 charge.H7130 And the bloodH1818 shall be forgivenH3722 them.
So shalt thou put awayH1197 the guilt of innocentH5355 bloodH1818 from amongH7130 you, when thou shalt doH6213 that which is rightH3477 in the sightH5869 of the LORD.H3068
When thou goest forthH3318 to warH4421 against thine enemies,H341 and the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 hath deliveredH5414 them into thine hands,H3027 and thou hast takenH7617 them captive,H7628
And seestH7200 among the captivesH7633 a beautifulH3303, H8389 woman,H802 and hast a desireH2836 unto her, that thou wouldest have herH3947 to thy wife;H802
Then thou shalt bringH935 her homeH8432 to thine house;H1004 and she shall shaveH1548 her head,H7218 and pareH6213 her nails;H6856
And she shall putH5493 the raimentH8071 of her captivityH7628 from off her, and shall remainH3427 in thine house,H1004 and bewailH1058 her fatherH1 and her motherH517 a fullH3117 month:H3391 and afterH310 that thou shalt goH935 in unto her, and be her husband,H1166 and she shall be thy wife.H802
And it shall be, if thou have no delightH2654 in her, then thou shalt let her goH7971 whither she will;H5315 but thou shalt not sellH4376 her at allH4376 for money,H3701 thou shalt not make merchandiseH6014 of her, becauseH834 thou hast humbledH6031 her.
If a manH376 have twoH8147 wives,H802 oneH259 beloved,H157 and anotherH259 hated,H8130 and they have bornH3205 him children,H1121 both the belovedH157 and the hated;H8130 and if the firstbornH1060 sonH1121 be hers that was hated:H8146
Then it shall be, whenH3117 he maketh his sonsH1121 to inheritH5157 that which he hath, that he mayH3201 not make the sonH1121 of the belovedH157 firstbornH1069 beforeH6440 the sonH1121 of the hated,H8130 which is indeed the firstborn:H1060
But he shall acknowledgeH5234 the sonH1121 of the hatedH8130 for the firstborn,H1060 by givingH5414 him a doubleH8147 portionH6310 of all that he hath:H4672 for he is the beginningH7225 of his strength;H202 the rightH4941 of the firstbornH1062 is his.
If a manH376 have a stubbornH5637 and rebelliousH4784 son,H1121 which will not obeyH8085 the voiceH6963 of his father,H1 or the voiceH6963 of his mother,H517 and that, when they have chastenedH3256 him, will not hearkenH8085 unto them:
Then shall his fatherH1 and his motherH517 lay holdH8610 on him, and bring him outH3318 unto the eldersH2205 of his city,H5892 and unto the gateH8179 of his place;H4725
And they shall sayH559 unto the eldersH2205 of his city,H5892 This our sonH1121 is stubbornH5637 and rebellious,H4784 he will not obeyH8085 our voice;H6963 he is a glutton,H2151 and a drunkard.H5433
And all the menH582 of his cityH5892 shall stoneH7275 him with stones,H68 that he die:H4191 so shalt thou putH1197 evilH7451 awayH1197 from amongH7130 you; and all IsraelH3478 shall hear,H8085 and fear.H3372
And if a manH376 have committed a sinH2399 worthy ofH4941 death,H4194 and he be to be put to death,H4191 and thou hangH8518 him on a tree:H6086
His bodyH5038 shall not remain all nightH3885 upon the tree,H6086 but thou shalt in any wiseH6912 buryH6912 him that day;H3117 (for he that is hangedH8518 is accursedH7045 of God;H430) that thy landH127 be not defiled,H2930 which the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 givethH5414 thee for an inheritance.H5159
