1 And the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came unto me, saying,H559 2 SonH1121 of man,H120 prophesyH5012 against the prophetsH5030 of IsraelH3478 that prophesy,H5012 and sayH559 thou unto them that prophesyH5030 out of their own hearts,H3820 HearH8085 ye the wordH1697 of the LORD;H3068 3 Thus saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069 WoeH1945 unto the foolishH5036 prophets,H5030 that followH1980, H310 their own spirit,H7307 and have seenH7200 nothing! 4 O Israel,H3478 thy prophetsH5030 are like the foxesH7776 in the deserts.H2723 5 Ye have not gone upH5927 into the gaps,H6556 neither made upH1443 the hedgeH1447 for the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 to standH5975 in the battleH4421 in the dayH3117 of the LORD.H3068 6 They have seenH2372 vanityH7723 and lyingH3577 divination,H7081 saying,H559 The LORDH3068 saith:H5002 and the LORDH3068 hath not sentH7971 them: and they have made others to hopeH3176 that they would confirmH6965 the word.H1697 7 Have ye not seenH2372 a vainH7723 vision,H4236 and have ye not spokenH1696 a lyingH3577 divination,H4738 whereas ye say,H559 The LORDH3068 saithH5002 it; albeit I have not spoken?H559 8 Therefore thus saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069 Because ye have spokenH1696 vanity,H7723 and seenH2372 lies,H3577 therefore, behold, I am against you, saithH5002 the LordH136 GOD.H3069 9 And mine handH3027 shall be upon the prophetsH5030 that seeH2374 vanity,H7723 and that divineH7080 lies:H3577 they shall not be in the assemblyH5475 of my people,H5971 neither shall they be writtenH3789 in the writingH3791 of the houseH1004 of Israel,H3478 neither shall they enterH935 into the landH127 of Israel;H3478 and ye shall knowH3045 that I am the LordH136 GOD.H3069 10 Because, even because they have seducedH2937 my people,H5971 saying,H559 Peace;H7965 and there was no peace;H7965 and one built upH1129 a wall,H2434 and, lo,H2009 others daubedH2902 it with untemperedH8602 morter: 11 SayH559 unto them which daubH2902 it with untemperedH8602 morter, that it shall fall:H5307 there shall be an overflowingH7857 shower;H1653 and ye,H859 O great hailstonesH68, H417, shall fall;H5307 and a stormyH5591 windH7307 shall rendH1234 it. 12 Lo, when the wallH7023 is fallen,H5307 shall it not be saidH559 unto you, Where is the daubingH2915 wherewith ye have daubedH2902 it? 13 Therefore thus saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069 I will even rendH1234 it with a stormyH5591 windH7307 in my fury;H2534 and there shall be an overflowingH7857 showerH1653 in mine anger,H639 and great hailstonesH68 inH417 my furyH2534 to consumeH3617 it. 14 So will I break downH2040 the wallH7023 that ye have daubedH2902 with untemperedH8602 morter, and bringH5060 it down to the ground,H776 so that the foundationH3247 thereof shall be discovered,H1540 and it shall fall,H5307 and ye shall be consumedH3615 in the midstH8432 thereof: and ye shall knowH3045 that I am the LORD.H3068 15 Thus will I accomplishH3615 my wrathH2534 upon the wall,H7023 and upon them that have daubedH2902 it with untemperedH8602 morter, and will sayH559 unto you, The wallH7023 is no more, neither they that daubedH2902 it; 16 To wit, the prophetsH5030 of IsraelH3478 which prophesyH5012 concerning Jerusalem,H3389 and which seeH2374 visionsH2377 of peaceH7965 for her, and there is no peace,H7965 saithH5002 the LordH136 GOD.H3069 17 Likewise, thou sonH1121 of man,H120 setH7760 thy faceH6440 against the daughtersH1323 of thy people,H5971 which prophesyH5012 out of their own heart;H3820 and prophesyH5012 thou against them, 18 And say,H559 Thus saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069 WoeH1945 to the women that sewH8609 pillowsH3704 to all armholesH3027, H679, and makeH6213 kerchiefsH4555 upon the headH7218 of every statureH6967 to huntH6679 souls!H5315 Will ye huntH6679 the soulsH5315 of my people,H5971 and will ye saveH2421 the soulsH5315 aliveH2421 that come unto you? 19 And will ye polluteH2490 me among my peopleH5971 for handfulsH8168 of barleyH8184 and for piecesH6595 of bread,H3899 to slayH4191 the soulsH5315 that should not die,H4191 and to saveH2421 the soulsH5315 aliveH2421 that should not live,H2421 by your lyingH3576 to my peopleH5971 that hearH8085 your lies?H3577 20 Wherefore thus saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069 Behold, I am against your pillows,H3704 wherewith yeH859 there huntH6679 the soulsH5315 to make them fly,H6524 and I will tearH7167 them from your arms,H2220 and will let the soulsH5315 go,H7971 even the soulsH5315 that ye huntH6679 to make them fly.H6524 21 Your kerchiefsH4555 also will I tear,H7167 and deliverH5337 my peopleH5971 out of your hand,H3027 and they shall be no more in your handH3027 to be hunted;H4686 and ye shall knowH3045 that I am the LORD.H3068 22 Because with liesH8267 ye have made the heartH3820 of the righteousH6662 sad,H3512 whom I have not made sad;H3510 and strengthenedH2388 the handsH3027 of the wicked,H7451 that he should not returnH7725 from his wickedH7563 way,H1870 by promising him life:H2421 23 Therefore ye shall seeH2372 no more vanity,H7723 nor divineH7080 divinations:H7081 for I will deliverH5337 my peopleH5971 out of your hand:H3027 and ye shall knowH3045 that I am the LORD.H3068
