1 And it came to pass the same year,H8141 in the beginningH7225 of the reignH4467 of ZedekiahH6667 kingH4428 of Judah,H3063 in the fourthH7243 year,H8141 and in the fifthH2549 month,H2320 that HananiahH2608 the sonH1121 of AzurH5809 the prophet,H5030 which was of Gibeon,H1391 spakeH559 unto me in the houseH1004 of the LORD,H3068 in the presenceH5869 of the priestsH3548 and of all the people,H5971 saying,H559 2 Thus speakethH559 the LORDH3068 of hosts,H6635 the GodH430 of Israel,H3478 saying,H559 I have brokenH7665 the yokeH5923 of the kingH4428 of Babylon.H894 3 Within two fullH3117 yearsH8141 will I bring againH7725 into this placeH4725 all the vesselsH3627 of the LORD'SH3068 house,H1004 that NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894 took awayH3947 from this place,H4725 and carriedH935 them to Babylon:H894 4 And I will bring againH7725 to this placeH4725 JeconiahH3204 the sonH1121 of JehoiakimH3079 kingH4428 of Judah,H3063 with all the captivesH1546 of Judah,H3063 that wentH935 into Babylon,H894 saithH5002 the LORD:H3068 for I will breakH7665 the yokeH5923 of the kingH4428 of Babylon.H894 5 Then the prophetH5030 JeremiahH3414 saidH559 unto the prophetH5030 HananiahH2608 in the presenceH5869 of the priests,H3548 and in the presenceH5869 of all the peopleH5971 that stoodH5975 in the houseH1004 of the LORD,H3068 6 Even the prophetH5030 JeremiahH3414 said,H559 Amen:H543 the LORDH3068 doH6213 so: the LORDH3068 performH6965 thy wordsH1697 which thou hast prophesied,H5012 to bring againH7725 the vesselsH3627 of the LORD'SH3068 house,H1004 and all that is carried away captive,H1473 from BabylonH894 into this place.H4725 7 Nevertheless hearH8085 thou now this wordH1697 that I speakH1696 in thine ears,H241 and in the earsH241 of all the people;H5971 8 The prophetsH5030 that have been beforeH6440 me and beforeH6440 thee of oldH5769 prophesiedH5012 both against manyH7227 countries,H776 and against greatH1419 kingdoms,H4467 of war,H4421 and of evil,H7451 and of pestilence.H1698 9 The prophetH5030 which prophesiethH5012 of peace,H7965 when the wordH1697 of the prophetH5030 shall come to pass,H935 thenH227 shall the prophetH5030 be known,H3045 that the LORDH3068 hath trulyH571 sentH7971 him. 10 Then HananiahH2608 the prophetH5030 tookH3947 the yokeH4133 from off the prophetH5030 Jeremiah'sH3414 neck,H6677 and brakeH7665 it. 11 And HananiahH2608 spakeH559 in the presenceH5869 of all the people,H5971 saying,H559 Thus saithH559 the LORD;H3068 Even so will I breakH7665 the yokeH5923 of NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894 from the neckH6677 of all nationsH1471 within the space of two fullH3117 years.H8141 And the prophetH5030 JeremiahH3414 wentH3212 his way.H1870 12 Then the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came unto JeremiahH3414 the prophet, afterH310 that HananiahH2608 the prophetH5030 had brokenH7665 the yokeH4133 from off the neckH6677 of the prophetH5030 Jeremiah,H3414 saying,H559 13 GoH1980 and tellH559 Hananiah,H2608 saying,H559 Thus saithH559 the LORD;H3068 Thou hast brokenH7665 the yokesH4133 of wood;H6086 but thou shalt makeH6213 for them yokesH4133 of iron.H1270 14 For thus saithH559 the LORDH3068 of hosts,H6635 the GodH430 of Israel;H3478 I have putH5414 a yokeH5923 of ironH1270 upon the neckH6677 of all these nations,H1471 that they may serveH5647 NebuchadnezzarH5019 kingH4428 of Babylon;H894 and they shall serveH5647 him: and I have givenH5414 him the beastsH2416 of the fieldH7704 also. 15 Then saidH559 the prophetH5030 JeremiahH3414 unto HananiahH2608 the prophet,H5030 HearH8085 now, Hananiah;H2608 The LORDH3068 hath not sentH7971 thee; but thou makest this peopleH5971 to trustH982 in a lie.H8267 16 Therefore thus saithH559 the LORD;H3068 Behold, I will castH7971 thee from off the faceH6440 of the earth:H127 this yearH8141 thou shalt die,H4191 because thou hast taughtH1696 rebellionH5627 against the LORD.H3068 17 So HananiahH2608 the prophetH5030 diedH4191 the same yearH8141 in the seventhH7637 month.H2320
