But Jehosheba,H3089 the daughterH1323 of kingH4428 Joram,H3141 sisterH269 of Ahaziah,H274 tookH3947 JoashH3101 the sonH1121 of Ahaziah,H274 and stoleH1589 him from amongH8432 the king'sH4428 sonsH1121 which were slain;H4191 and they hidH5641 him, even him and his nurse,H3243 in the bedchamberH4296, H2315 fromH6440 Athaliah,H6271 so that he was not slain.H4191

And he was with her hidH2244 in the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 sixH8337 years.H8141 And AthaliahH6271 did reignH4427 over the land.H776

And the seventhH7637 yearH8141 JehoiadaH3077 sentH7971 and fetchedH3947 the rulersH8269 over hundreds,H3967 with the captainsH3746 and the guard,H7323 and broughtH935 them to him into the houseH1004 of the LORD,H3068 and madeH3772 a covenantH1285 with them, and took an oathH7650 of them in the houseH1004 of the LORD,H3068 and shewedH7200 them the king'sH4428 son.H1121

And he commandedH6680 them, saying,H559 This is the thingH1697 that ye shall do;H6213 A third partH7992 of you that enter inH935 on the sabbathH7676 shall even be keepersH8104 of the watchH4931 of the king'sH4428 house;H1004

And a third partH7992 shall be at the gateH8179 of Sur;H5495 and a third partH7992 at the gateH8179 behindH310 the guard:H7323 so shall ye keepH8104 the watchH4931 of the house,H1004 that it be not broken down.H4535

And twoH8147 partsH3027 of all you that go forthH3318 on the sabbath,H7676 even they shall keepH8104 the watchH4931 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 aboutH413 the king.H4428

And ye shall compassH5362 the kingH4428 round about,H5439 every manH376 with his weaponsH3627 in his hand:H3027 and he that comethH935 within the ranges,H7713 let him be slain:H4191 and be ye with the kingH4428 as he goeth outH3318 and as he cometh in.H935

And the captainsH8269 over the hundredsH3967 didH6213 according to all things that JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 commanded:H6680 and they tookH3947 every manH376 his menH582 that were to come inH935 on the sabbath,H7676 with them that should go outH3318 on the sabbath,H7676 and cameH935 to JehoiadaH3077 the priest.H3548

And to the captainsH8269 over hundredsH3967 did the priestH3548 giveH5414 kingH4428 David'sH1732 spearsH2595 and shields,H7982 that were in the templeH1004 of the LORD.H3068

And the guardH7323 stood,H5975 every manH376 with his weaponsH3627 in his hand,H3027 round aboutH5439 the king,H4428 from the rightH3233 cornerH3802 of the templeH1004 to the leftH8042 cornerH3802 of the temple,H1004 along by the altarH4196 and the temple.H1004

And he brought forthH3318 the king'sH4428 son,H1121 and putH5414 the crownH5145 upon him, and gave him the testimony;H5715 and they made him king,H4427 and anointedH4886 him; and they clappedH5221 their hands,H3709 and said,H559 God saveH2421 the king.H4428

And when AthaliahH6271 heardH8085 the noiseH6963 of the guardH7323 and of the people,H5971 she cameH935 to the peopleH5971 into the templeH1004 of the LORD.H3068
11:14
And when she looked,H7200 behold, the kingH4428 stoodH5975 by a pillar,H5982 as the mannerH4941 was, and the princesH8269 and the trumpetersH2689 by the king,H4428 and all the peopleH5971 of the landH776 rejoiced,H8056 and blewH8628 with trumpets:H2689 and AthaliahH6271 rentH7167 her clothes,H899 and cried,H7121 Treason,H7195 Treason.H7195

But JehoiadaH3077 the priestH3548 commandedH6680 the captainsH8269 of the hundreds,H3967 the officersH6485 of the host,H2428 and saidH559 unto them, Have her forthH3318 withoutH1004 the ranges:H7713 and him that followethH935, H310 her killH4191 with the sword.H2719 For the priestH3548 had said,H559 Let her not be slainH4191 in the houseH1004 of the LORD.H3068
11:16
And they laidH7760 handsH3027 on her; and she wentH935 by the wayH1870 by the which the horsesH5483 cameH3996 into the king'sH4428 house:H1004 and there was she slain.H4191

And JehoiadaH3077 madeH3772 a covenantH1285 between the LORDH3068 and the kingH4428 and the people,H5971 that they should be the LORD'SH3068 people;H5971 between the kingH4428 also and the people.H5971
11:18
And all the peopleH5971 of the landH776 wentH935 into the houseH1004 of Baal,H1168 and brake it down;H5422 his altarsH4196 and his imagesH6754 brake they in piecesH7665 thoroughly,H3190 and slewH2026 MattanH4977 the priestH3548 of BaalH1168 beforeH6440 the altars.H4196 And the priestH3548 appointedH7760 officersH6485, H6486 over the houseH1004 of the LORD.H3068

And he tookH3947 the rulersH8269 over hundreds,H3967 and the captains,H3746 and the guard,H7323 and all the peopleH5971 of the land;H776 and they brought downH3381 the kingH4428 from the houseH1004 of the LORD,H3068 and cameH935 by the wayH1870 of the gateH8179 of the guardH7323 to the king'sH4428 house.H1004 And he satH3427 on the throneH3678 of the kings.H4428
11:20
And all the peopleH5971 of the landH776 rejoiced,H8055 and the cityH5892 was in quiet:H8252 and they slewH4191 AthaliahH6271 with the swordH2719 beside the king'sH4428 house.H1004
