Isaiah
Moreover the LORDH3068 saidH559 unto me, TakeH3947 thee a greatH1419 roll,H1549 and writeH3789 in it with a man'sH582 penH2747 concerning Mahershalalhashbaz.H4122
And I tookH5749 unto me faithfulH539 witnessesH5707 to record,H5749 UriahH223 the priest,H3548 and ZechariahH2148 the sonH1121 of Jeberechiah.H3000
And I wentH7126 unto the prophetess;H5031 and she conceived,H2029 and bareH3205 a son.H1121 Then saidH559 the LORDH3068 to me, CallH7121 his nameH8034 Mahershalalhashbaz.H4122
For before the childH5288 shall have knowledgeH3045 to cry,H7121 My father,H1 and my mother,H517 the richesH2428 of DamascusH1834 and the spoilH7998 of SamariaH8111 shall be taken awayH5375 beforeH6440 the kingH4428 of Assyria.H804
ForasmuchH3282 as this peopleH5971 refusethH3988 the watersH4325 of ShiloahH7975 that goH1980 softly,H328 and rejoiceH4885 in RezinH7526 and Remaliah'sH7425 son;H1121
Now therefore, behold, the LordH136 bringeth upH5927 upon them the watersH4325 of the river,H5104 strongH6099 and many,H7227 even the kingH4428 of Assyria,H804 and all his glory:H3519 and he shall come upH5927 over all his channels,H650 and go overH1980 all his banks:H1415
And he shall passH2498 through Judah;H3063 he shall overflowH7857 and go over,H5674 he shall reachH5060 even to the neck;H6677 and the stretching outH4298 of his wingsH3671 shall fillH4393 the breadthH7341 of thy land,H776 O ImmanuelH410, H6005.
AssociateH7489 yourselves, O ye people,H5971 and ye shall be broken in pieces;H2865 and give ear,H238 allH3605 ye of farH4801 countries:H776 girdH247 yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces;H2865 girdH247 yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.H2865
TakeH5779 counselH6098 together,H5779 and it shall come to nought;H6565 speakH1696 the word,H1697 and it shall not stand:H6965 for GodH410 is with us.
For the LORDH3068 spakeH559 thus to me with a strongH2393 hand,H3027 and instructedH3256 me that I should not walkH3212 in the wayH1870 of this people,H5971 saying,H559
SayH559 ye not, A confederacy,H7195 to all them to whom this peopleH5971 shall say,H559 A confederacy;H7195 neither fearH3372 ye their fear,H4172 nor be afraid.H6206
SanctifyH6942 the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635 himself; and let him be your fear,H4172 and let him be your dread.H6206
And he shall be for a sanctuary;H4720 but for a stoneH68 of stumblingH5063 and for a rockH6697 of offenceH4383 to bothH8147 the housesH1004 of Israel,H3478 for a ginH6341 and for a snareH4170 to the inhabitantsH3427 of Jerusalem.H3389
And manyH7227 among them shall stumble,H3782 and fall,H5307 and be broken,H7665 and be snared,H3369 and be taken.H3920
And I will waitH2442 upon the LORD,H3068 that hidethH5641 his faceH6440 from the houseH1004 of Jacob,H3290 and I will lookH6960 for him.
Behold, I and the childrenH3206 whom the LORDH3068 hath givenH5414 me are for signsH226 and for wondersH4159 in IsraelH3478 from the LORDH3068 of hosts,H6635 which dwellethH7931 in mountH2022 Zion.H6726
And when they shall sayH559 unto you, SeekH1875 unto them that have familiar spirits,H178 and unto wizardsH3049 that peep,H6850 and that mutter:H1897 should not a peopleH5971 seekH1875 unto their God?H430 for the livingH2416 to the dead?H4191
To the lawH8451 and to the testimony:H8584 if they speakH559 not according to this word,H1697 it is because there is no lightH7837 in them.
And they shall passH5674 through it, hardly besteadH7185 and hungry:H7457 and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry,H7456 they shall fretH7107 themselves, and curseH7043 their kingH4428 and their God,H430 and lookH6437 upward.H4605
And they shall lookH5027 unto the earth;H776 and behold troubleH6869 and darkness,H2825 dimnessH4588 of anguish;H6695 and they shall be drivenH5080 to darkness.H653
