Speak,H1696 and say,H559 Thus saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069 Behold, I am against thee, PharaohH6547 kingH4428 of Egypt,H4714 the greatH1419 dragonH8577 that liethH7257 in the midstH8432 of his rivers,H2975 which hath said,H559 My riverH2975 is mine own, and I have madeH6213 it for myself.

But I will putH5414 hooksH2397, H2397 in thy jaws,H3895 and I will cause the fishH1710 of thy riversH2975 to stickH1692 unto thy scales,H7193 and I will bring thee upH5927 out of the midstH8432 of thy rivers,H2975 and all the fishH1710 of thy riversH2975 shall stickH1692 unto thy scales.H7193

And I will leaveH5203 thee thrown into the wilderness,H4057 thee and all the fishH1710 of thy rivers:H2975 thou shalt fallH5307 upon the openH6440 fields;H7704 thou shalt not be brought together,H622 nor gathered:H6908 I have givenH5414 thee for meatH402 to the beastsH2416 of the fieldH776 and to the fowlsH5775 of the heaven.H8064

And all the inhabitantsH3427 of EgyptH4714 shall knowH3045 that I am the LORD,H3068 because they have been a staffH4938 of reedH7070 to the houseH1004 of Israel.H3478

When they took holdH8610 of thee by thy hand,H3709 thou didst break,H7533 and rendH1234 all their shoulder:H3802 and when they leanedH8172 upon thee, thou brakest,H7665 and madest all their loinsH4975 to be at a stand.H5976

Therefore thus saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069 Behold, I will bringH935 a swordH2719 upon thee, and cut offH3772 manH120 and beastH929 out of thee.
29:9
And the landH776 of EgyptH4714 shall be desolateH8077 and waste;H2723 and they shall knowH3045 that I am the LORD:H3068 because he hath said,H559 The riverH2975 is mine, and I have madeH6213 it.
29:10
Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy rivers,H2975 and I will makeH5414 the landH776 of EgyptH4714 utterlyH2721 wasteH2723 and desolate,H8077 from the towerH4024 of SyeneH5482 even unto the borderH1366 of Ethiopia.H3568

No footH7272 of manH120 shall pass throughH5674 it, nor footH7272 of beastH929 shall pass throughH5674 it, neither shall it be inhabitedH3427 fortyH705 years.H8141

And I will makeH5414 the landH776 of EgyptH4714 desolateH8077 in the midstH8432 of the countriesH776 that are desolate,H8074 and her citiesH5892 amongH8432 the citiesH5892 that are laid wasteH2717 shall be desolateH8077 fortyH705 years:H8141 and I will scatterH6327 the EgyptiansH4714 among the nations,H1471 and will disperseH2219 them through the countries.H776

Yet thus saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069 At the endH7093 of fortyH705 yearsH8141 will I gatherH6908 the EgyptiansH4714 from the peopleH5971 whither they were scattered:H6327

And I will bring againH7725 the captivityH7622 of Egypt,H4714 and will cause them to returnH7725 into the landH776 of Pathros,H6624 into the landH776 of their habitation;H4351 and they shall be there a baseH8217 kingdom.H4467

It shall be the basestH8217 of the kingdoms;H4467 neither shall it exaltH5375 itself any more above the nations:H1471 for I will diminishH4591 them, that they shall no more ruleH7287 over the nations.H1471

And it shall be no more the confidenceH4009 of the houseH1004 of Israel,H3478 which bringethH2142 their iniquityH5771 to remembrance,H2142 when they shall lookH6437 afterH310 them: but they shall knowH3045 that I am the LordH136 GOD.H3069

SonH1121 of man,H120 NebuchadrezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894 causedH5647 his armyH2428 to serveH5647 a greatH1419 serviceH5656 against Tyrus:H6865 every headH7218 was made bald,H7139 and every shoulderH3802 was peeled:H4803 yet had he no wages,H7939 nor his army,H2428 for Tyrus,H6865 for the serviceH5656 that he had servedH5647 against it:

Therefore thus saithH559 the LordH136 GOD;H3069 Behold, I will giveH5414 the landH776 of EgyptH4714 unto NebuchadrezzarH5019 kingH4428 of Babylon;H894 and he shall takeH5375 her multitude,H1995 and takeH7997 her spoil,H7998 and takeH962 her prey;H957 and it shall be the wagesH7939 for his army.H2428

I have givenH5414 him the landH776 of EgyptH4714 for his labourH6468 wherewith he servedH5647 against it, because they wroughtH6213 for me, saithH5002 the LordH136 GOD.H3069

In that dayH3117 will I causeH6779 the hornH7161 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 to bud forth,H6779 and I will giveH5414 thee the openingH6610 of the mouthH6310 in the midstH8432 of them; and they shall knowH3045 that I am the LORD.H3068
