So the workmenH6213, H4399 wrought,H6213 and the workH4399 wasH5927 perfectedH724 by them,H3027 and they setH5975 the houseH1004 of GodH430 in his state,H4971 and strengthenedH553 it.

And they buriedH6912 him in the cityH5892 of DavidH1732 among the kings,H4428 because he had doneH6213 goodH2896 in Israel,H3478 both toward God,H430 and toward his house.H1004

Now afterH310 the deathH4194 of JehoiadaH3077 cameH935 the princesH8269 of Judah,H3063 and made obeisanceH7812 to the king.H4428 Then the kingH4428 hearkenedH8085 unto them.

And they leftH5800 the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 GodH430 of their fathers,H1 and servedH5647 grovesH842 and idols:H6091 and wrathH7110 came upon JudahH3063 and JerusalemH3389 for this their trespass.H819

Yet he sentH7971 prophetsH5030 to them, to bring them againH7725 unto the LORD;H3068 and they testifiedH5749 against them: but they would not give ear.H238

And the SpiritH7307 of GodH430 cameH3847 upon ZechariahH2148 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077 the priest,H3548 which stoodH5975 above the people,H5971 and saidH559 unto them, Thus saithH559 God,H430 Why transgressH5674 ye the commandmentsH4687 of the LORD,H3068 that ye cannot prosper?H6743 because ye have forsakenH5800 the LORD,H3068 he hath also forsakenH5800 you.

And they conspiredH7194 against him, and stonedH7275 him with stonesH68 at the commandmentH4687 of the kingH4428 in the courtH2691 of the houseH1004 of the LORD.H3068

Thus JoashH3101 the kingH4428 rememberedH2142 not the kindnessH2617 which JehoiadaH3077 his fatherH1 had doneH6213 to him, but slewH2026 his son.H1121 And when he died,H4194 he said,H559 The LORDH3068 lookH7200 upon it, and requireH1875 it.

And it came to pass at the endH8622 of the year,H8141 that the hostH2428 of SyriaH758 came upH5927 against him: and they cameH935 to JudahH3063 and Jerusalem,H3389 and destroyedH7843 all the princesH8269 of the peopleH5971 from among the people,H5971 and sentH7971 all the spoilH7998 of them unto the kingH4428 of Damascus.H1834

For the armyH2428 of the SyriansH758 cameH935 with a smallH4705 company of men,H582 and the LORDH3068 deliveredH5414 a veryH3966 greatH7230 hostH2428 into their hand,H3027 because they had forsakenH5800 the LORDH3068 GodH430 of their fathers.H1 So they executedH6213 judgmentH8201 against Joash.H3101
